Role & responsibilities
Content Writing Intern Team: Marketing / Digital Content
Location: Gurugram
About the role
We are looking for a Content Writing Intern to support the creation and optimization of high-quality digital content across websites, blogs, landing pages, and customer-facing resources. You'll be writing for a regulated financial services brand, so factual accuracy, clarity, and responsible, compliant language matter as much as strong writing. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with excellent research skills, attention to detail, and an interest in creating content that is informative, accurate, and aligned with business objectives. This role provides hands-on exposure to content production, SEO, content strategy, and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Research industry trends, market developments, and relevant topics to support content creation.
- Conduct keyword and search-intent research, and apply basic SEO best practices to content.
- Ensure content is factually accurate and consistent with brand and regulatory guidelines, flagging any unconfirmed facts rather than filling gaps.
- Write and edit blogs, articles, web copy, email content, newsletters, and social media content.
- Ensure content follows brand voice, tone, and style guidelines.
- Proofread and edit content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with content writers, designers, and stakeholders on content projects.
- Support content audits, repurposing initiatives, and content calendar management.
- Incorporate feedback and revise content accordingly. Qualifications Required
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Mass Communication, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of content marketing and digital platforms. Preferred
- Prior internship, freelance writing, blogging, or campus publication experience.
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals.
- Knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Grammarly, or AI-assisted content tools.
- Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating professional or long-form writing ability.
What You'll Gain
- Hands-on experience in professional content development.
- Exposure to content strategy and marketing workflows.
- Mentorship from experienced content professionals.
- Opportunity to work on real-world projects and build a strong portfolio. Networking and learning opportunities within a dynamic team.
