Data Migration Consultant

About this job

The role involves analysis, development, migration, testing and production support for data movement and integration workloads across Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DataStage and enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Insight data flows, SSIS packages, SQL jobs and Oracle procedures.
• Develop and modify SSIS packages and IBM DataStage jobs.
• Perform data migration from MSSQL SSIS to ORACLE and IBM Datastage.
• Create and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and views.
• Develop and support Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and triggers.
• Perform data reconciliation and root cause analysis.
• Support UAT, production deployment and post go-live stabilization.
• Prepare technical documentation and migration runbooks.

• Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019+)
• Advanced T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Performance Tuning
• SSIS Development and Troubleshooting
• Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c
• Oracle PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers
• IBM DataStage Development and Administration Basics
• ETL/ELT Design and Data Warehousing Concepts
• Data Reconciliation and Data Quality Validation

Preferred Skills

• Insurance Services domain
• Oracle, CDC
• Azure Data Lake / Cloud data platforms
• SCD Type 1/2, Fact and Dimension modeling
• Production support and incident management experience
• Unix/Linux Shell Scripting

Experience

4 to 6 years of experience in Data Integration, ETL Development and Database Development.

Education

BE/BTech/MCA/BSC IT/BCS or equivalent qualification.
