Job Description

• Modify existing application code or interfaces, or develop new application components based on detailed requirements.
• Analyze requirements and support the design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance of applications and interfaces. Proper documentation is required.
• Participate in programming and application development activities, including file design, updates, storage, and retrieval.
• Maintain developed solutions and provide ongoing support.
• Define system scope, formulate concepts, and establish technical objectives based on business requirements.
• Enhance existing processes and resolve operational issues while considering schedules, resource constraints, dependencies, and application architecture.
• Follow established development methodologies, coding standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance to teams on application systems activities when required.
• Work under general supervision and typically report to a team lead, supervisor, or manager.
• Support production issues and provide timely troubleshooting and assistance.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7–9 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services or captive auto finance companies is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in large teams.
• Experience in application development within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently when required.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Java 1.6 & 1.8, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Struts, JDBC, Hibernate, REST, SOAP, and IBM WebSphere.
• Experience with batch processing of flat files from mainframe systems.
• Strong experience with:

+ Java/J2EE + Struts + Spring & Spring Boot + JSON & XML + SQL (DB2, PostgreSQL) + PL/SQL + Distributed System Design + JavaScript, jQuery, GWT + Hibernate + JSP + Angular

• Experience designing and developing Web Services, APIs, and interfaces.
• UI development experience using Angular, JSP/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and XML.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, GitLab, and deployment tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA.
• Experience with GitHub-based source control.
• Experience with Jenkins-based deployments.
• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS).
• Basic Linux and Shell scripting knowledge.

Intermediate to Expert Knowledge Required

• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), development processes, and methodologies.
• Microservices architecture and application development.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Testing methodologies including:
