1 About Power Flux AI

Power Flux AI is an AI-native power electronics engineering company headquartered in Pune, India. We design, simulate, prototype and productionize high-power motor and inverter systems, from 0.5 kW to 500 kW, on a proprietary AI-driven platform. It compresses traditional 1836 month development cycles into 90 days from concept to prototype.

We work with partners and institutions including IIT Bombay, IIT Madras and ARAI Pune, and our engineering is led by a founder with 35+ years of hands-on power electronics experience.

2 Your opportunity at IIT Madras Incubation, Chennai

Work with us at the IIT Madras Incubation ecosystem in Chennai, close to the Power Electronics Lab and IIT Madras researchers. You will ship real features into an engineering platform, mentored by engineers who have built full motor and inverter systems.

3 Role overview

You will build the connective tissue of our design platform: the live data layer that keeps schematics, PCB layouts, 3D enclosures and BOMs in sync, and the public MCP server that lets AI agents work with our engine.

4 What you will do

• Build GraphQL queries, mutations and real-time subscriptions over PostgreSQL to keep design data in sync.
• Maintain and extend our public MCP (Model Context Protocol) server with new tools and resources.
• Build the secure bridge between browser sessions and isolated Linux sandboxes.
• Support cloud pipelines that generate manufacturing outputs (Gerber, drill, CPL, BOM).
• Help implement optimistic UI updates and conflict handling for multi-user editing.

5 What you bring

Must have

• Working knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js
• PostgreSQL and basic relational data modelling
• A project or repo using GraphQL, REST or WebSockets
• Comfort with Linux and Docker basics

Good to have

Redis, MCP experience, exposure to KiCad files, GitHub Actions CI/CD.
