About this job

Role Overview

As HR Executive, you will be our in-house HR owner. You will hire recruiters and other team members for Apprize, and look after the people already on the team. This is an internal role, not a client-facing recruitment desk: your focus is our own employees and contractors working across India, UK/EU and the USA. You will manage the employee lifecycle from hiring and onboarding through engagement, performance and exit. The role suits someone who has worked inside a staffing firm, understands what makes a good recruiter, and can keep HR processes tidy across several countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own internal hiring: agree headcount with leadership, write job descriptions, then source, screen, interview and close recruiters, account managers and support staff.
  • Assess recruiter candidates on sourcing skill, market knowledge and fit for our India, UK/EU and US desks.
  • Run onboarding and induction for new employees and contractors, including offer letters, joining formalities, background verification and system access.
  • Look after existing team members: maintain employee records, attendance and leave, confirmations, transfers and exits, including exit interviews.
  • Lead employee engagement and retention through regular check-ins, recognition, feedback channels and quick handling of concerns.
  • Run performance management with managers: goal setting, probation reviews and review cycles, with feedback on recruiter productivity and growth.
  • Maintain HR policies, employment contracts and contractor agreements, and keep our people practices compliant with applicable labour and data-privacy rules in India, the UK/EU (including GDPR for employee data) and the USA.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, benefits and reimbursements with finance and external providers.
  • Plan training and development, especially onboarding and upskilling for recruiters.
  • Track HR metrics such as headcount, attrition, time-to-hire and engagement, and report them to leadership.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; MBA/PGDM in HR is an advantage.
  • 4+ years of experience in the recruitment and staffing industry.
  • Experience managing or supporting India, UK/EU and USA operations, and a clear understanding of how recruiters work in each market.
  • Proven experience hiring recruiters or other internal team members, not only client placements.
  • Working knowledge of HR operations: onboarding, employee records, leave and attendance, payroll coordination, policies and exits.
  • Basic knowledge of employment law and compliance in India, and awareness of UK/EU and US requirements for employees and contractors.
  • Experience with an ATS and HRIS, plus sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Strong written and spoken English, and the maturity to handle confidential employee matters.
  • Willingness to work on-site from our Noida office.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience hiring for IT and technology recruitment teams.
  • Exposure to employee relations, engagement programmes and performance-review cycles.
  • Familiarity with UK engagement models (permanent, contract, PAYE) and US employment types (W2, C2C, 1099) for our own workforce.
  • Comfort with Excel/Google Sheets reporting and with AI-assisted sourcing and screening tools.
  • Flexibility to overlap with UK and US working hours when needed.
