About the role

Pragya is an AI-powered learning platform for school students. We are looking for a Mathematics professional who enjoys explaining ideas clearly and using technology to improve learning.

You will work with the founder and product team to develop and review Mathematics content across the full school curriculum for Classes 6 to 12, covering CBSE, ICSE/ISC and relevant Pre-University syllabi. The role requires confidence with foundational concepts through higher-secondary mathematics.

As our Mathematics professional, you will take responsibility for accuracy, clear explanations and useful practice across your assigned chapters. You will help students understand the reasoning behind a method and apply it confidently.

What you will do

• Create and review lessons, worked examples, practice questions and solutions.
• Check mathematical accuracy and alignment with the relevant board curricula and marking expectations.
• Explain concepts in clear English and address common student misconceptions.
• Review interactive activities and AI-generated content, suggest improvements and verify corrections.
• Support product demonstrations and academic discussions with teachers as needed.
• Improve examples, hints and feedback to help students work through misconceptions.
• Develop questions at different difficulty levels and independently verify solutions.
• Record issues with precise locations and proposed corrections, prioritise significant errors and check the completed fixes.
• Use curriculum references and marking schemes to verify content, and flag unresolved questions for further review.

Qualifications and experience

• A master's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or a closely related field.
• 0 to 3 years of relevant experience. Fresh postgraduates with strong subject knowledge and teaching potential are welcome.
• Tutoring, mentoring, teaching-assistant work or academic content development is helpful.
• A B.Ed. or other teaching qualification is an advantage.

Skills and competencies

• Strong command of Mathematics across Classes 6 to 12, with the ability to explain ideas at an appropriate level for each grade.
• Clear spoken and written English, with the ability to make difficult ideas understandable.
• Confidence using digital learning platforms, spreadsheets and online tools.
• Careful attention to detail and willingness to learn, verify your work and respond to feedback.
• Ability to verify AI-generated explanations and identify plausible errors.
• Familiarity with LaTeX, GeoGebra, Desmos or similar tools is an advantage.

Your first two months

Learn Pragya and its review workflow, complete initial reviews across school levels, and agree your chapter priorities with the founder. Progress towards independently reviewing an agreed set of chapters, delivering clear corrections and suggesting improvements to explanations and activities. Prepare for school demonstrations through practice with the team.

Selection process

Shortlisted candidates will have an initial conversation, a practical content review and an interview. We will assess mathematical understanding across school levels, teaching clarity, written English and confidence using the platform. The process includes a short explanation and discussion of your reasoning and corrections.
