Django Back-End Development Intern

About this internship

We are looking for a motivated Python/Django developer who has a strong interest in backend development and wants to gain hands-on experience working on a real-world project.

The selected candidate will be involved in developing and maintaining backend applications, building APIs, managing databases, integrating frontend and backend systems, and solving technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Develop efficient backend logic and reusable code.
• Work with databases and Django ORM.
• Integrate backend services with frontend applications.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and other backend functionalities.
• Debug and resolve application issues.
• Test backend functionality and ensure application reliability.
• Optimize application performance and database queries.
• Collaborate with React frontend developers and other team members.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development standards.
• Maintain technical documentation where required.
• Learn and implement new technologies based on project requirements.

Required Skills

• Understanding of Django REST Framework / REST APIs.
• Basic to good knowledge of databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics.
• Knowledge of Git and Gitlab.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Git/Gitlab workflows.
• Basic knowledge of React.js & Next JS
• Familiarity with Docker or cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of coding tools like Cursor, Codex and Claude Code.

• Freshers with strong Python/Django project experience are encouraged to apply.
